Gabriel E. Montoya is currently CEO of Dvdendo, automated savings and investment platform that provides access to well-diversified portfolios at low cost and no minimums, focusing on the underserved US Hispanic and Latin Americans communities. Previously, Mr. Montoya was Chief Business Development Officer at OpenEnglish, the premier online English school in the Americas. Before that, he was CEO of NextU, until the company was sold to OpenEnglish in late 2015. While at NextU, he built the leading Latin American online educational platform focused on teaching the digital technology skills most sought after by employers. Previously, Mr. Montoya was Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of the Cisneros Group of Companies, where he was responsible for the Cisneros Family Office, overseeing over $1 billion worth of assets and investments. Mr. Montoya also held many other senior positions during his 20-year tenure at the Cisneros Group, including leading roles in corporate strategy, portfolio companies’ management, corporate finance, and in-house M&A transactions. Mr. Montoya was also President of the London International Bank & Trust, a private bank that provides services to families and their businesses in Latin America. Mr. Montoya has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Miami Science Museum, member of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Perez Art Museum of Miami, member of the Board of Trustees of St. Philip’s Episcopal School in Coral Gables, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Miami Science Barge. Mr. Montoya has a BS degree in Systems Engineering from the Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela, and earned a MBA degree from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA) in Caracas, Venezuela.
